Wingate news – Harve Garrett came here Saturday from Champaign, Ill where he buried his mother beside their father Friday. Grandma Garrett lived here and owned property here a number of years but had been making her home with her son, George in Butler, Missouri for some time and died there after only a week’s illness. Harve, George and his wife brought the body to the home of their brother John in Champaign. - transcribed by kbz
